Transition of a substance directly from the solid to the gas state and back to a solid - skipping the liquid state.

How sublimation printing works

Sublimation dye inks are transferred to special high-release transfer paper, which is used for the next step of the sublimation printing process. After the design is printed, the transfer paper is placed on the top of a sublimation blank substrate. It requires a heat press process to transfer the image from the paper to the substrate .

Heat press process is a combination of time, temperature and pressure.
